How to Achieve Your 2019 New Year’s Resolutions!

The most important investments require TIME. Setting and achieving a resolution requires focus, effort, and commitment. Changing old habits and developing new ones will not happen overnight. The following guidelines are meant to help you achieve all of your New Year’s Resolutions:

Focus on one resolution at a time. Make a list of your resolutions, prioritize them, and validate each of them.  Do they make sense to focus on right now?  It is wiser to focus on the right resolution than to start one you are not committed to.

Create a sense of accountability. Designate a friend, mentor, or companion for sharing successes, monitoring progress, and offering support. The benefit of involving others in your goals and plans is instant access to experience, knowledge, and wisdom— it also raises the bar of responsibility.

Research indicates that one of the qualities of those who are successful at making changes is that they have excellent support systems. Many of those who make resolutions never tell others about them. Consciously or subconsciously, that way if they fail no one will view them as a failure.

Communicating your resolution and intentions actually increases your accountability to the behavior. From the very beginning it is important to share your objectives and goals with those around you so that you can enlist their support. Knowing that you are accountable to someone other than yourself will help to keep you on track.

Persist until completed. A resolution achieved is a stunning example of consistency and hard work. If you fall behind schedule or are sidetracked for any reason, refocus! Just DO NOT give up! Do not surrender to temptation, difficulty or temporary failure. Persist until you achieve the goal.

Cultivate personal integrity. Integrity gives you the oxygen needed to cross the finish line of accomplishment. Your commitment determines your level of success. This commitment boils down to two essential tactics: DAILY ACTION AND REVIEW.

I wish you a New Year of health and happiness. Believe in yourself and you will achieve!

Good Luck and Happy 2019!

THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT: Small Changes can mean Big Results!

THE BUTTERFLY EFFECTHave you heard of the “butterfly effect?”  Where one small change at one place has large effects elsewhere:  such as the beating of a butterfly’s wings causing small changes that, when magnified, cause a shift in weather.  Yet, how does this apply to our daily lives?

One way is to realize that our small actions add up to create big results.  For example, try waking up 20 minutes earlier each day and using the extra time to be productive.  Twenty minutes less sleep does not sound like much but multiply that over a year’s time and you have added 121.6 hours to your productive time!

At Premier Concierge, our purpose is to add value to your life by taking on tasks you cannot find the time to do yourself and help you apply the “butterfly effect” to your life.  Think of how you could use that time for greater productivity!

Simple tasks like running errands, paying your bills, managing home repair projects, or planning an event can be overwhelming.  Let us handle your to-do list so you can live your life to the fullest each day.  Call Premier Concierge today and let us show you our “butterfly effect”!

5 Tips for Keeping your New Year’s Resolution

How you plan to reach your goals and keep your resolutions for 2018?

As 2018 gets started, many of us are turning our focus to achieving more of our resolutions or goals this year. Besides “willpower,” what else can we do to increase our chances of reaching our goals and resolutions? Check out the following 5 tips of practical ways to reach your resolutions in 2018.

Premier concierge advocates for self care1.Include a resolution to care for yourself. Too often our resolutions are oriented toward making changes to ourselves and while that is good, remember to care for yourself. Include time for healing, renewal and rest.

2.Keep resolutions simple. While it sounds good to plan for a totally new you, we are better off setting simple, short-term goals that when complete give us a sense of accomplishment. Most people overestimate what they can do in the short run and underestimate what they can do in the long run.

3.Make notes. The act of writing and claiming can be an effective form of motivation. Making notes allows us to see our progress and find ways to our resolutions.

pivot4.Learn to “pivot.” Pivoting is a term used by business startups as a way to describe a change in direction. In other words, if one way does not work, stop going that way and find another way or a new direction.

5.Remember, you are in charge. When we set goals and resolutions, we are doing so based on the best information available at the time. Yet, life has a way of changing. Since you are in charge of your destiny, you can change your resolutions and goals as new information becomes available.

For a bonus tip, remember to ask for help from family, friends and service providers. Sometimes others can see ways of helping you achieve resolutions that you may not see. At the end of the year, you may be grateful that you sought assistance and achieved your resolutions.

Best of luck in 2018!

My heart goes out to all who are dealing with this awful disease with a friend or family member.

Whole Body Cryotherapy is one of the fastest-growing, holistic, wellness solutions that enables the body to naturally recover at the cellular level. By exposing yourself to temperatures around -220°F with nitrogen gas in our CryoSauna for up to three minutes, your body protects your internal organs by pushing blood to the core where it circulates, keeping your core temperature intact while your blood picks up vital nutrients. After exiting the CryoSauna, blood recirculates back into your outer extremities and creates favorable conditions for:

  • Rejuvenating muscle and skin
  • Providing a boost to your energy level and metabolic rate
  • Increasing collagen production in your skin
  • Reducing inflammation

Stop and Smell the Roses!

“Stop and smell the Roses” is a saying that really has nothing to do with Stop and Smell the Roses with Premier conciergeflowers at all!  It is a message, for each of us to stop rushing, stop working late, and a reminder that time passes quickly. Stop and enjoy the day, the moment and the minute. Each minute that you miss, is TIME lost and will not return to you again.

Take time to spend time with your family. Make sure you take at least one day a week to do something with your family and turn off your cell phone.

Remember special dates and celebrate special occasions together. Remember that your child, who may be 5 years old today, will never be that age again.  What makes them laugh?  What interests them?   Read to them, talk to them and hug them. Before you know it, they will be grown!

Make a special dinner for your family and set the table with the good dishes that you save for company. The best company that you can entertain is your own family.

Bring home a gift for your spouse. Remember how excited you were when you were dating and could not wait to see each other? Relive that day, and make that day special again. Surprises bring affection and a lasting relationship.

Laugh together. A sense of humor and a good laugh can smooth out a laugh together todaylong, hard day!

Remember that “One of the Things You Can’t Recover is Time”, so enjoy every family moment together and cherish the memories!

Reclaim Your Time!

  • stock-photo-23845602-time-is-money-conceptHow much of your time is used productively?  For one week, use your calendar to record activities for the week as if you were billing for them. Is there time that is wasted on unproductive activities, appointments or unnecessary “obligations”?
  • Any activity or conversation that is important to your success and well-being should have a time assigned to it. Schedule appointments with yourself and create time blocks for high-priority thoughts, conversations, and actions.  Make time for both career and personal time.
  • Take time every day to schedule your day. Whether first thing in the morning or as you wrap up your day, plan your day to get the most of every moment!blank
  • Take time before every call and task to decide what result you want to attain. Take time afterward to determine whether your desired result was achieved.stock-photo-36551316-career-family-balance
  • Schedule a time each day to answer email and return phone calls.  Do not instantly give people your time unless it is absolutely crucial in your business to offer an immediate response.

With a little planning, you CAN reclaim your time!
