Start with your WHY
Why do you want to declutter? How does the clutter make you feel? Do you need more space, more money, or maybe both?
Move on to HOW
Look at the calendar and find a few large chunks of time for the big projects, and carve out 15-30 minutes a day for the rest. Know that decluttering will be messy, but we’re gonna fix that. You’ll need an area to sort into piles for keeping, storing, and donating.
What are 4-5 of the BIGGEST areas of need?
List them!
Identify the smaller projects
What other areas of clutter do you notice? Are you having trouble in one spot, such as getting the kids clothes together each day or dealing with bills and paperwork? Write down as many as you can think of. Don’t worry if you can’t think of them all
Use a calendar
Put your BIG projects on days you have the most time. Write your smaller projects in the order you’d like to tackle them. Try to keep tasks in the same area together (it may get messy, so it’s nice to keep it contained to one area before moving on.).
